Jules Stuart

Jules Stuart is a physicist with extensive experience in quantum networking and trapped atomic ions. Currently serving as a Staff Physicist at IonQ since February 2024, Jules previously held the role of Postdoctoral Research Associate at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) from August 2021 to January 2024, where the focus was on developing experiments for quantum networking using trapped ions in innovative surface electrode traps. Prior to that, from February 2016 to June 2021, Jules worked as a Research Assistant at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, making significant contributions by demonstrating the first trapping of ions solely with on-chip DC voltages and conducting voltage noise measurements. Jules obtained a PhD in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2021, following a Bachelor of Science in Physics from The University of Texas at Austin in 2014.
