Sergey Dushenko

Sergey Dushenko, PhD, currently serves as Staff Physicist at IonQ, a position held since July 2021, following a role as Senior Physicist. Prior to IonQ, Sergey worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Maryland and a Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, contributing to significant advancements in quantum magnetometry through the development of a software that improved measurement speed. Additionally, Sergey delivered seminars on key topics in quantum computing and communications. Earlier academic experience includes a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Kyoto University, where innovative spin-conversion devices were engineered, leading to a patent and active management of multiple international research projects. Sergey holds a PhD in Physics from The University of Osaka and both Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Physics from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
