Ryan Wu

Ryan Wu has a long and varied work experience, beginning with an internship at Procter & Gamble in 2009 as a Papermaking Intern. Ryan then held an Olefin Process and Energy Improvement Coop position at ExxonMobil in the same year. In 2012, Ryan Wu worked as a Quality Assurance Intern at FRITO LAY, where they implemented 5S standard for site sanitation team and identified cost savings for the company. In the same year, they also worked as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota. In 2018, Ryan Wu held a Postdoctoral Researcher position at the University of California, Berkeley, where they focused on demonstrating ultra-low switching power multiferroic devices and synthesized heterostructures of ferroelectric and multiferroic oxides. In 2019, they worked as a Data Science Consultant for various organizations, building and training fully convolutional neural networks. Currently, Ryan Wu is the Director of Machine Learning and Algorithms, Data Generation and Analytics Manager, and Data Scientist at Iontra LLC.

Ryan Wu completed their Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Cockrell School of Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin between 2007 and 2012. Ryan then went on to obtain their Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 2018. Additionally, they have a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera.
