Robert Timms is the co-founder and CTO at Ionworks, where they focus on making battery simulations accurate, fast, and easy. They have been a core developer of the leading open-source battery simulation software PyBaMM since 2018. Previously, Robert served as the Head of Simulation at About:Energy, delivering physics-based models for various battery-related sectors, while also completing a postdoctoral research position at the University of Oxford, where their work included developing models for Lithium-ion cells. Currently, they are an Entrepreneurial Fellow at The Faraday Institution, supporting the development of Ionworks’ open-core battery modeling solution.
