Simon Hatson

Simon Hatson is a Trustee at IOSH and was previously the Group HSSEQ Manager at Gardline Marine Sciences Limited from June 2012 to May 2014. Simon's responsibilities included reporting to the Managing Director, preparing bids and tender prequalification documentation, maintaining and developing the Integrated Management System, conducting accident investigations and preparing reports for corrective actions utilising RCA tools, controlling specified budgets, and advising on the allocation of funds to secure maximum benefit in terms of reducing HSEQ losses & meeting legislative requirements. Simon was also responsible for the implementation of a legal compliance plan and monitoring system, engaging with a cross functional Senior Management Team, preparing and presenting statistical information at Board level, facilitating and delivering training and representing the company at industry federation HSEQ forums.

Simon Hatson has a Master of Science in Occupational Health and Safety Management from the University of Portsmouth, as well as a PgC in the same field from the same school.
