Rhys Poolman is currently the Head of Technical Operations at iotaSciences, overseeing all technical aspects including Manufacturing, Customer Service, and R&D since September 2025. Previously, Rhys served as a Research Design Innovator at Vision Engineering Ltd from July 2024 to October 2025, and as the Head of Research and Development at EYOTO™ from July 2021 to July 2024, managing a team focused on transforming initial product concepts into functioning prototypes. Additional experience includes roles as a Senior Development Engineer and Senior Development Scientist at Malvern Panalytical, where responsibilities encompassed developing algorithms for particle measurement systems, as well as positions at Zemax Europe Ltd as a Computational Physicist and Optical Engineer. Rhys began academic endeavors as a PhD student at Cardiff University, focusing on numerical modeling in Solid State Physics, culminating in a PhD degree in 2011.
