Alexei Monroe

Alexei Monroe is an experienced professional currently serving as the Research and Digital Manager at Labin Art Express, where responsibilities include overseeing digital initiatives, research projects, and event planning for the upcoming 4th Industrial Art Biennial. As a Research Fellow at Burren College of Art since March 2018 and the Founder and Lead Concept Engineer of the electronic music label VEB89, which engages with avant-garde music genres, Monroe exhibits a rich background in both academia and creative industries. Additionally, Monroe has worked as a book editor and freelance speaker, with notable works including the authoring of "Interrogation Machine" and various contributions to academic literature and critiques. Academic credentials include a PhD in Communication and Image Studies from the University of Kent.
