Alberto Passos

Alberto Passos is currently the Telecom Business Director at IP Telecom PT, bringing extensive experience in the telecom sector since graduating in Engenharia Electrotécnica e de Computadores from IST Lisbon with a BOM grade. They began their career at Telecom Portugal in 1992 and later joined several notable companies, including Philips Portuguesa and Maxitel, where they played pivotal roles in major projects and business development. Over the years, Alberto has collaborated with high-profile clients such as GOOGLE, Microsoft, and various government agencies, while also initiating significant innovations like the first Digital Audio Standard MP3 Professional Offer in Portugal. Currently, they serve as a Project Expert for the European Commission on submarine cable security and resilience proposals.
