Jorge Lima obtained a degree in Biology from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra in July 2000 and a PhD in Biomedicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto in December 2006. Currently, Jorge serves as Vice-Director of Ipatimup and is a researcher in the "Cancer Signalling & Metabolism" group at i3S-Ipatimup, where the focus is on studying adult and paediatric brain tumours and their metabolic properties. Jorge is also an affiliated professor at the Medical Faculty of the University of Porto and has supervised multiple graduate students, contributing to numerous teaching and international collaboration efforts. Additionally, Jorge has co-authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications, with significant citations reflecting the impact of their research in the field.
