Dan James

Dan James, MBCP, CBCP has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of business continuity and disaster recovery. From 2020 to present, they have been working as an Officer (Sr. Director) - Global BCP and IT Disaster Recovery at IPC Systems, Inc. Prior to this, they held various managerial roles at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey from 2015 to 2020. In these roles, they were responsible for strategic direction, equipment and environmental maintenance, and managing support staff for datacenter operations and enterprise IT and business recovery/data backup/restore. Before joining Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, Dan worked at IBM - Business Continuity and Resiliency Services, where they served as a Manager in technology operations and IT solutions development. In these positions, they managed infrastructure staff, provided support for multi-platform IT and business engagements, and acted as a solution architect. Dan's expertise also includes project management, translating client requirements into technology solutions, and delivering technical support.

Dan James, MBCP, CBCP received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business-Computer Information Systems from Bloomfield College in 1998. Dan also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from the same institution. In addition, they hold certifications as a Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP) and a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) from DRII, obtained in 2023 and 2016 respectively.
