Sergio Escobar Lorca

Sergio Escobar Lorca is an experienced technology executive with a strong background in information systems and project management. Currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at IPCHILE since 2013, Sergio is responsible for establishing IT policies, managing budgets, evaluating technology projects, and overseeing contract negotiations with service providers. Prior to this role, Sergio held various leadership positions, including Director of Quality at Grupo Educacional Cepech and previously as CIO at IPCHILE. With experience that spans over two decades, including roles at Chilena Consolidada Seguros and SoftwareHouse, Sergio has demonstrated expertise in system development, quality assurance, and team management. Sergio holds multiple degrees from Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria, including a Civil Industrial Engineer and a degree in Computer Engineering.
