Babar Mirza

Babar Mirza has a strong background in financial planning, analysis, and reporting. Babar currently serves as the Group Financial Controller at IPD since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Rheem Australia as the Manager of Financial Planning, Analysis, and Reporting from May 2018 to April 2022. Babar also briefly served as the Group Financial Controller at Rexel in September 2017.

Babar Mirza's earlier experiences include roles such as Finance Manager at Metal Manufactures Electrical Merchandising from December 2005 to August 2017, Financial Accounting Manager at Electrolux in July 2005, and Finance Manager at Danka Australia from December 1997 to July 2005. Babar also worked as the National Fleet Accountant at ORIX Australia Corporation Limited from January 1996 to May 1997 and as the Group Consolidations Accountant at Nucleus (Telectronics, Cochlear) from August 1992 to January 1996. Throughout their career, Babar has demonstrated expertise in financial management, reporting, staff management, advanced excel modeling, and supporting senior levels of management.

Babar Mirza began their education at North Newtown Public School in Sydney from 1977 to 1982. Babar then attended Fort Street High School from 1983 to 1988, where they obtained their HSC. Following this, from 1989 to 1991, they pursued a Bachelor of Economics degree with majors in Accounting and Commercial Law at the University of Sydney. In 1994 and 1995, Babar attended Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, where they earned a CA qualification.
