Kurt Martin has over 20 years of work experience in various sales and management roles in the automation and industrial products industry. Kurt started their career as a Manufacturing Engineer at Krone (now Commscope) in 1993, where they oversaw and implemented automation processes in telecommunications component manufacturing. In 1999, they joined Festo Australia as a Sales Engineer, responsible for managing a sales territory and generating new business. Kurt then moved on to Sick as the Queensland State Sales Manager in 2007, where they managed operations in Queensland and Northern NSW. In 2014, they became the National Sales Manager for HIMA Australia, overseeing the Australian, New Zealand, New Caledonia, and PNG regions. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as the Queensland State Sales Manager for Control Logic, managing operations and a sales team. Most recently, since July 2022, they have been working as the National Business Development Manager at IPD, where they oversee sales operations and brings new technologies to the market. Throughout their career, Kurt Martin has demonstrated expertise in sales management, business development, and industrial automation.

Kurt Martin's education history includes a range of courses and certifications. In 2015, they attended HIMA Australia Pty Ltd and completed a Functional Safety for Technicians Course (2 days) as well as a Functional Safety for Managers Course (1 day). In 2014, they took a Solution Selling course at AJ Victor De Cook Consulting and studied Contract Law for Managers & Supervisors at SAI Global. In 1998-1999, they attended Hunter Institute of Technology and obtained a Certificate IV in Electrical Engineering, and from 1994 to 1997, they studied Mechanical Engineering at the same institute.
