Aaron Smithgall

Aaron Smithgall is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in various roles focused on cyber risk, vulnerability management, and technical consulting. Currently serving as the Director of Cyber Security at IPDS since March 2024, Aaron previously held positions as Lead Risk and Advisory Consultant for Cybersecurity Compliance at FORVIS and Senior Vulnerability and Cyber Risk Consultant at Cyber Engine Technologies. Aaron's background includes strategic roles at Deloitte and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where responsibilities ranged from project management to solutions architecture. With foundational experience as Director of Technical Consulting for the United States Department of Defense, Aaron possesses a comprehensive skill set in assessing vulnerabilities, managing IT infrastructures, and implementing security measures. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from the University of Phoenix and also has a degree from Southern New Hampshire University.
