Martin Wright is an international development specialist with particular skills and experience in project and grant programme management and monitoring and evaluation.
Martin has over 15 years of grant programme management experience with DFID, EU, Big Lottery Fund and Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD). He has experience of direct project implementation and management in the fields of upland and irrigated agriculture and water & sanitation; experience of managing grants covering a range of development sectors including education, health, post-conflict and post-disaster recovery, natural resource management and rights-based approaches. He has extensive experience of project life cycle management and has undertaken numerous project monitoring and evaluation assignments. He managed the DFID contract for the Development Awareness Fund (DAF) and the Civil Society Challenge Fund (CSCF). He is also the Project Manager and Team Leader for DFID's Global Poverty Action Fund (GPAF). He also supported the Katalyst (Swisscontact) team in Dhaka to review their use of the enterprise challenge fund model to support the development of pro-poor inclusive business.
Martin Wright holds an M.Sc. degree in Tropical Agriculture from Wye College, University of London. He also has Higher National Diploma (HND) in Agriculture from the Welsh Agricultural College, United Kingdom.
