Robert Neil, CISSP, CGRC has extensive experience in information security and governance. Robert currently serves as the Global Head of Information Security/CISO at IPG Photonics, where they lead worldwide oversight of various areas including strategy, security operations, risk management, and governance. Prior to their role at IPG Photonics, Neil was the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and CIO at QinetiQ US, where they delivered a fortified architecture and established a robust security operations program. Robert also served as an Information Security Officer at Veracode, leading the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Authority to Operate (ATO) Program. Additionally, Neil held leadership positions at Biogen, where they developed IT security, risk management, and disaster recovery programs, and at the Dept. of Transportation, Research and Innovative Technologies Administration, where they served as a Cyber Security Manager. Neil's work experience also includes roles as a Senior Security Manager at RS Info. Systems/FMCSA, a Security/Network Engineer at Conquest Technologies, and a Network Engineer in the US Navy.

Robert Neil, CISSP, CGRC, holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Information Security from Boston University, which they completed from 2009 to 2012. Robert has additional certifications in CISA, CISSP, and CRISC from ISACA and (ISC)². The exact dates of obtaining these certifications are not specified.
