Jan Gigerich

Jan Gigerich is a seasoned professional in intellectual property law, currently serving as a Patentanwalt, European Patent Attorney, and UPC Representative at IPCGS since January 2017, and as Chief IP Officer at IP Nexus since February 2017. Gigerich founded R2J, where operations spanned from January 2017 to December 2022, and previously worked as a Patent Attorney at FROHWITTER Intellectual Property Counselors from April 2003 to December 2016, focusing on licensing, litigation, and intellectual property due diligence across various technical fields. Prior experience includes a role as Patent Attorney at IBM from May 2000 to March 2003, handling patent work at national and international levels, and earlier as a Systems Analyst, Programmer, and Development Teamleader at AMS, contributing to mobile telecommunications projects in Europe. Gigerich holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, earned between October 1988 and September 1994.
