Alessandra Nilo

Alessandra Nilo is a co-founder of Gestos – HIV, Communication and Gender, and serves as the External Relations Director for the Americas and the Caribbean at the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). Since 2001, they have been involved in United Nations monitoring processes, actively promoting the Declaration of Commitment on HIV and AIDS to enhance national sexual and reproductive health policies. Additionally, Alessandra has been the Regional Director of LACCASO since 2009, leading initiatives to combat AIDS and violence against women and girls across Latin America and the Caribbean. They have worked extensively as a consultant for various organizations while also pursuing their career as a film director and screenwriter since 2014. Currently, Alessandra is pursuing an associate's degree in International Relations at Faculdade Damas.
