Varun Anand

Varun is a Chartered Accountant with more than 21 years of diverse and multi-disciplinary experience. He offers a unique blend of strong systems approach and understanding of grass root programmes. Varun’s commitment to a just and equitable society has helped him pursue the cause of building an empowered community, which, he believes, is the only way to inclusive development.

As a member of the Global leadership team since April 2017 and the Senior Management at IPPF South Asia Region since March 2010, Varun has championed the cause of sexual and reproductive health and rights for all, by building accountable, transparent and robust locally owned globally connected IPPF.

Prior to joining IPPF, Varun has worked at various levels, with grass root NGOs in the areas of providing health services, hygiene and empowerment and with national and multinational consulting firms, advising large Government departments/ ministries in the areas of programme design, systems strengthening and evaluation of national schemes cutting across public financial management, health and family welfare, public security, transport subsidies, judiciary, commercial tax and ICT for development.
