Violeta Canaves is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in academia and human rights advocacy. Serving as a Professor and Assistant Professor of Constitutional Law and Human Rights at Universidad Nacional del Litoral from March 2017 to January 2024, Violeta also worked as a Human Rights Specialist at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) from January 2021 to June 2023. Previous experience includes a role as a Legal Consultant at ELA - Equipo Latinoamericano de Justicia y Género from 2009 to 2013. Currently, Violeta holds the position of Senior Advocacy Advisor at the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), beginning in February 2024.
