George Dibb is the Principal Policy Advisor for Industrial Strategy at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, currently on secondment from the IPPR, where they serve as the Associate Director for Economic Policy and Head of the Centre for Economic Justice. They oversee the integration of UCL's research into government policy, fostering collaboration between academia and industry in mission-oriented discussions alongside Prof. Mariana Mazzucato. George's previous roles include Head of Industry, Technology & Innovation at Policy Connect and Head of Industrial Strategy & Policy Engagement at the UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose. They earned a PhD in Physics from Imperial College London and a Diploma in Management Studies from London South Bank University.
