Lib Peck

Lib Peck is a seasoned professional in local government and community safety, currently serving as a Board Trustee at IPPR since November 2023 and as the Director of the Violence Reduction Unit for the Mayor of London since March 2019. Previous roles include Deputy Labour Leader of the Local Government Association from April 2017 to March 2019 and Executive Member for Community Safety at London Councils from May 2015 to March 2019, where Lib Peck also served as Deputy Chair. As the Leader of Lambeth Council from June 2001 to February 2019, Lib Peck held multiple responsibilities as an elected councillor, focusing on regeneration, housing, environment, and culture. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Director of JUSTICE from December 1996 to March 2004. Lib Peck holds a Bachelor of Arts in Modern History and Politics from The University of Manchester, completed in June 1988, and attended Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School.
