Mark Halfman

Mark Halfman has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Mark is currently the CEO of iPronics Programmable Photonics, a company that specializes in developing general-purpose photonic processors for various applications including 5G communication, data centers, and artificial intelligence.

Before joining iPronics, Mark worked as a Startup Judge at MassChallenge. Prior to that, they held operating roles and provided strategic consulting at Startup Advisory Portfolio. In this role, they served as CEO and board member of LUMIODE, INC., a micro-LED semiconductor technology startup, and held other positions at American Robotics, Inc.

Mark also gained valuable experience at Qualcomm, where they served as the VP of Business Development & Operations. Mark was responsible for leading strategic initiatives in this role. Before Qualcomm, they worked at Pixtronix, Inc., a venture-backed startup focused on developing low power, high brightness MEMS displays. Pixtronix was later acquired by Qualcomm.

Mark's early career includes positions at Xilinx, Inc., where they served as Director of Marketing & Applications, Sr. Marketing Manager, and Product Marketing Manager.

Throughout their career, Mark has demonstrated expertise in technology development, business development, marketing, and operations.

Mark Halfman received their BA in Applied Mathematics from UC San Diego in the years 1988 to 1993. Mark then pursued further education, obtaining an MBA with a focus on Finance, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business between 1997 and 1999.
