April Chen

April (Qi) Chen is a Senior Process Architect at IPS, where they lead architectural teams and manage diverse projects from conceptual design to construction administration. They have experience across multiple sectors, including lab planning, data centers, and commercial projects, collaborating with clients and mentoring junior staff. Previously, April held roles at Genesis AEC and Jacobs, focusing on hazardous materials and lab architecture, and has contributed to numerous significant projects, such as the Dupont Shanghai Lab and Merck facilities. April earned a Master in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and has also interned at both the SCUT Architectural Culture and Heritage Research Institute and China Construction Planning and Design Research Institute. They have volunteered with the Facility Renovation and Expansion Committee at University City Chinese Christian Church since 2011.
