Ben Barnes is a Lead Scientist in Downstream Process Development at Ipsen, specializing in early- to late-stage development for protein-based biopharmaceuticals. Previously, Ben served as a Doctoral Researcher at ReNeuron Group Plc, focusing on purification process development for stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles and developing affinity chromatography resins. Additionally, Ben was an Industrial Fellow at the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 and worked as a Scientist at AstraZeneca, where they contributed to mRNA and DNA purification platform development. Ben holds an EngD in Biochemical Engineering and Bioprocess Leadership from UCL, complemented by an MSc and a BSc in Biochemistry.
