Matthew Beard is a seasoned professional in the field of biochemistry and drug discovery with extensive experience in leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Senior Director of External Innovation at Ipsen since June 2013, Matthew Beard focuses on identifying and integrating new drug programs into the company's pipeline. Previously, in roles such as Senior Director Neuroscience Toxin Expert and Senior Principal Scientist at Ipsen, Matthew has contributed to the development of new protein drugs. Matthew Beard's career began with significant academic achievements, including a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Glasgow and a BSc (Hons.) from the University of St Andrews, which laid the foundation for their roles at Columbia University, Yale University School of Medicine, and Syntaxin Ltd.
