Shane MacCarthy

Shane MacCarthy is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as a Territory Manager at Ipsen since May 2016, Shane previously held the position of Medical Scientific Liaison at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, focusing on GU Oncology from January 2015 to April 2016. Prior to that, Shane worked as a Medical Scientific Liaison for Oncology and GI at Takeda Pharmaceuticals from August 2009 to December 2014 and contributed as a Health Care Executive on the Secondary Care Oncology Team. Shane's career began at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals UK as a Customer Account Specialist from November 2006 to August 2009, managing key accounts in specific PCTs, and included a role as Sales & Marketing Manager at Speed Sails UK Ltd from October 2002 to November 2006. Shane holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Studies from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and a BSc (Mod) in Natural Sciences, Chemistry from Trinity College Dublin.
