Dr. Peter Coles

Dr. Peter Coles currently serves as the Head of School at the International Programs School since August 2023, following a tenure as Head of School at Üsküdar Amerikan Lisesi / Üsküdar American Academy from August 2018 to August 2023, where strategic planning and budgetary practices were implemented. Previous experience includes leadership roles at Al Sahwa Schools as Director, where Dr. Coles developed a diverse staff and an appraisal system, and as Principal Advisor for the Ministry of Education in Dubai, focusing on mentorship and capacity building for headteachers. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Bath, an MBA in Finance from Keele University, and a forthcoming Master's in Psychology of Mental Health & Wellbeing from the University of Wolverhampton, among others. Dr. Coles's teaching experience spans various educational institutions, complemented by a background in business and military service.
