Michele Smith

Michele Smith MA is an experienced educator currently serving as the Department Chair for History at the International Programs School since August 2019, specializing in IB History and providing leadership in the History and Social Studies department. Additionally, Michele holds the position of Athletic Director, overseeing the athletics and activities program, and previously worked as a Physical Education teacher and consultant, focusing on inclusive practices and department improvement at GSAAA LIMITED. With a diverse teaching background that includes roles as Head of Subject for physical education at various institutions and as a lecturer at Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University, Michele has demonstrated a commitment to educational excellence, implementing strategies that enhance student engagement and improve academic outcomes. Michele earned a Master of Arts in Education from the University of East London and holds multiple degrees, including a BSc in Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Sociology from The University of the West Indies.
