Proud to be one of the UK’s remaining municipal bus operators, Ipswich Buses is wholly owned by Ipswich Borough Council and operates 75 vehicles on a network of routes across Ipswich, Babergh, Colchester and the surrounding areas employing 180 people across two sites in Central Ipswich. 

We've been transporting customers in and around Ipswich for over 100 years, and we are committed to giving the residents, businesses and visitors to our area a quality bus service with a strong focus on customer service and innovation. Along with our owners, Ipswich Borough Council, we’re striving to reduce car dependency for access to the region whilst playing a key part in boosting the local economy.
