Mark Senyshyn

Mark Senyshyn has a diverse range of work experience in various companies. Mark currently holds the position of Sr. Director, Business and Market Research at IPValue starting in December 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Director, Business and Market Research at WiLAN from July 2021 to February 2022.

From November 2012 to March 2020, Mark served as the Manager, Business and Market Research at Conversant Intellectual Property Management, where they managed a small team of analysts. The team conducted research on technologies, technological trends, and identified companies in those areas of interest. They also researched and analyzed the products and product lines of these companies.

At Chipworks, Mark worked from July 2010 to August 2012 as the Manager, Program Management, Patent Intelligence. Mark led a team of senior Project Managers working on patent monetization projects for external clients. Additionally, they were responsible for creating and delivering revenue forecasts for the Patent Intelligence Division.

Before their role at Chipworks, Mark started working at the company in May 2006 as a Product/Senior Project Manager, Patent Intelligence. Mark was responsible for designing and implementing new products and service offerings for the Patent Intelligence division. This involved understanding client needs and aligning them with the company's capabilities.

Mark began their career at Innovance Networks in 2000, where they served as a Senior Hardware Designer until 2003. Mark designed hardware, including FPGAs and motherboards, for circuit packs in an agile long-haul optical network. Mark also designed a PCI computing module that was incorporated into most circuit packs.

Prior to Innovance Networks, Mark worked at Catena Networks in 1999 as an FPGA Designer. Here, they focused on designing the voice and test portions of an FPGA used in xDSL enabled linecards.

In 1997, Mark worked at Cadence as a Hardware Designer, where they designed digital hardware for projects related to PBXs and test equipment. These projects included a 24-line voice and data multiplexer PBX and a fault detector for a high-reliability memory system.

Finally, Mark started their career at Bell Northern Research in 1993 as a Member of Scientific Staff, where they contributed to various scientific projects.

Mark Senyshyn completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Carleton University between the years 1989 and 1993. Mark later pursued further education and completed an MBA degree in Finance, General from Queen's University between 2004 and 2005.
