Peter Rees

Peter Rees has a strong work experience in the field of optics and photonics. Peter currently works as a Senior Imaging Engineer at IQ Endoscopes Limited. In this role, they lead the development and troubleshooting of optical systems for endoscopic tools. Prior to this, Peter worked at the University of South Wales as a Lecturer of Optoelectronics and a Research Fellow. In these roles, they were responsible for teaching courses on semiconductor device manufacturing and conducting research on photonics-based products. Peter also founded Glamorgan & Games in 2020. Before joining the University of South Wales, they worked as a Research Scientist at LumOptica, where they conducted research on behalf of customers, primarily in the defense sector. Peter completed their PhD studies at Cardiff University, where they focused on the design, manufacturing, and characterization of semiconductor lasers.

Peter Rees attended Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physics.
