Piao L.

Piao L. is an experienced engineering manager currently serving as the Group Characterization Engineering Manager at IQE since May 2012, overseeing global sites. Prior roles at IQE included Characterization Engineering Manager, responsible for managing characterization engineers and senior technicians, and Senior Process Engineer, where Piao led material characterization and device fabrication for III-V compound semiconductors while managing two departments. Prior to IQE, Piao worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Kentucky from August 2005 to January 2011, leading a team to develop a customized Close Space Sublimation system, achieving significant cost savings. Piao also served as a Teaching Assistant, facilitating advanced electric circuit labs. Piao holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Zhejiang University.
