Chad Smith

Chad Smith has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Chad started their career at Comcast as a New Build RF and Fiber Design Engineer, where they were responsible for site survey, design, costing, and as-built of new commercial and residential properties. After that, they worked at OnePoint Communications as an RF, Fiber, and Microwave Design Engineer, with roles including sales of design, survey, and drafting services, field survey and design, drafting and design supervision, and post-construction review.

Later, Chad joined CADD Design Services as an RF and Fiber Design and Sales Engineer, focusing on sales and design engineering. Chad then moved to Bentley Systems, where they held various roles, including Bentley Comms Product Manager, Senior Applications Engineer, and Account Manager. In these positions, they specialized in solution sales to the Communications industry and was responsible for the release of the re-architected Bentley Comms network design and lifecycle management solution.

After GE, Chad worked at GE Grid Solutions as a West Region Sales Manager for Smallworld Telecoms, covering the US and Canada. Chad then joined Avineon, Inc. as a Telecoms Business Development Manager, focusing on developing the telecommunications business.

Most recently, Chad Smith has been working at GE Digital as a Senior Staff Solution Architect in the Telecoms domain, and currently, they are serving as a Principal Solution Architect at IQGeo, specializing in Telecoms.
