Jonathan Bunt

Advisor at iQSTEL

An Electrical Engineer with a passion for pushing boundaries and for embodying the entrepreneurial mindset. Jonathan’s first IOT-based company was founded his freshman year at Rice University and was funded through a series of pitch events and competitions. This deep dive into running both the technology and business sides of a startup proved invaluable and eventually led him to found four more companies in his early twenties, ranging from geofenced digital advertising to dual-sided real estate marketplaces. As he graduated his lined up job was rescinded, so he immediately pivoted to launch a bootstrapped third company and grossed over 1mm dollars in revenue in the first 6 months of operations.

He prides himself on his ability to approach all problems from a novel angle and in attacking the pain points that others might not see and is a big proponent of the idea that each project his company takes must be formulated in a way that drives passion and inspires everyone on his team.

As a professional in Machine Learning and IoT technologies he’s been a part of teams that built completely autonomous robots to be used in the medical field, and others that analyzed brain wave patterns of epileptic patients to map out the warning signs for their attacks. His passion for engineering and experimentation spreads beyond his company’s operations and can be seen even in his free time, where he’s known for having developed a motorized remote control couch as his main form of transportation, and for injecting RFID microchips into himself for his experiments and projects.
