James began their career in 2013 as a Reservoir and Operations Engineering Intern at Eclipse Resources. In 2014, they joined Baker Hughes, a GE company, as a Drilling Supervisor and Drilling Engineer. In 2021, they enrolled in a Java bootcamp at Tech Elevator, where they developed technical skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, jQuery, Django, IntelliJ, Atom, Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, and Unix command line. James also worked on various projects, such as PerfectWell, No Limit Hold'em Game, Whiskey Web Scraper, Self-driving model car, Arduino DIY projects, Vending Machine Application, Tenmo Payment Application, and Whiteboard eLearning Application. Currently, they are working as a Junior Software Developer at IRALOGIX.

James McFadden obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from West Virginia University between 2010 and 2014. In 2021, they attended Tech Elevator for Java Web Application Development.
