Socrates Lekkas is a Tunnel Expert at IRD Engineering, currently managing the Tunnel Works for the Paneuropean Motorway Corridor X project. They have extensive experience in geotechnical and geological roles, including serving as a Construction Manager’s Chief Geologist for the Egnatia Odos Motorway and leading a team of site geologists during the construction of the Athens Metro. Socrates studied Technical Geology at the University of Patras, earning their diploma in 1986. Previous roles also include Site Geologist and Geotechnical Expert across various significant infrastructure projects in Greece.
