Senior Program Manager - Video Services at Irdeto

Amit Changra has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of set-top box (STB) development and video services. Amit started their career in 2004 at SITI Networks Ltd. as an Officer in Systems, focusing on STB testing. Amit then joined DishTV in 2005 as an Engineer in STB Development, where they were responsible for evaluating and developing STBs and integrating middleware (Opentv) into Dish TV STBs.

In 2007, Amit moved to Bharti Airtel as a Sr. Engineer in Headend (Digital Headend), where they worked on the completion of the Bharti DTH Headend project and conducted user acceptance testing. Amit later transitioned to the role of Assistant Manager in Networks (Headend Teleport).

Amit returned to DishTV in 2010 and held various managerial positions in STB Development. As a Manager, they led the development of STBs and C.P.E (Customer Premises Equipment), and as a Senior Manager, they focused on STB and OpenTv Middleware. Amit then served as the Divisional Head of STB Development at DishTV (DishD2H) in 2021.

In 2016, Amit joined the Middle East Broadcasting Center as an STB Specialist, where they coordinated the activities of running STBs and Mobile app projects, ensuring quality and meeting deadlines. In their role, they worked closely with a multicultural team.

Currently, Amit is working at Irdeto as a Program Manager in Video Services, where they have delivered STB, MW (Middleware), and Headend projects of value 1 million USD in the last 1.5 years. Amit will also be taking on the role of Senior Program Manager in Video Services starting in March 2023.

Throughout their career, Amit has demonstrated expertise in STB development, partnership management, vendor coordination, and project delivery.

Amit Changra's education history begins in 1998, when they attended Navyug School and completed their 12th C.B.S.E with a focus on Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. From 1999 to 2002, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Electronics at Sri Venkateswara College, under Delhi University. Amit then went on to study at the Institute of Informatics & Communications from 2002 to 2004, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Informatics. During their master's program, Amit specialized in Communications, Networking, and Software Engineering.
