Artur Bąk

Artur Bąk has worked in various roles and companies throughout their career. Artur started their career in 2016 at ArtsDevs, where they worked as a Java programmer and team leader, handling client projects and creating websites. In 2017, they worked at morele.net as a copyrighter and quality improvement specialist. Artur then worked as a HelpDesk Intern at Stowarzyszenie WIOSNA, providing technical support and hardware service. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as an IT Specialist at Małopolskie Parki Przemysłowe.

In 2018, Artur joined INSTYTUT ZOOTECHNIKI - PAŃSTWOWY INSTYTUT BADAWCZY as a Programmer/bioinformatist, focusing on programming and bioinformatics tasks. Artur also worked at PeakData as a Data Engineer, where they developed a platform for profiling medical professionals using AWS cloud, Python, and Argo Workflows.

In 2021, Artur joined ASTEK Polska as a Data Engineer in the Roche team. Artur'sresponsibilities included creating ETL pipelines, developing tools and applications in Python, and participating in the development of a federated learning platform. Artur also worked with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Artur has also completed programming courses and has recently joined Irdeto as a Software Engineer.

Artur Bąk has a diverse education history, primarily focusing on molecular biology and informatics. Artur obtained a postgraduate degree in Molecular Biology from Jagiellonian University in 2021-2022. Prior to that, they completed their Magister (Mgr) degree in Informatics from the University of Silesia in Katowice between 2019 and 2021. Before pursuing their master's, Artur received an Inżynier (Inż.) degree in Bioinformatics from Akademia Pedagogiczna im. Komisji Edukacji Narodowej w Krakowie from 2015 to 2019. Additionally, they earned a Bachelor's (Licencjat) in Etnologia i Antropologia Kulturowa from Jagiellonian University in 2013-2017.

Furthermore, alongside their formal education, Artur Bąk has obtained several certifications. In 2020, they received honors in the Applied Data Science I: Scientific Computing & Python program from WorldQuant University. In 2019, they acquired a certification in NGS w badaniach zmienności sekwencji genomów from ideas4biology Sp z.o.o. Prior to that, in 2019, they participated in the Ardigen Summer School conducted by Ardigen. Going further back, in 2018, they completed a Java course from SoloLearn.
