Austin Lee

Austin Lee has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Austin started their career in 2000 as a Darkroom Technician at Gamma Photographic Labs, where they produced high-quality black and white archival prints for professional clients and performed custom photographic printing and toning. In 2007, they joined Cryptography Research, Inc. as a Quality Control Technician, where they tested the functionality and performance of BD+ protected Blu-Ray discs for MPAA studios and coordinated fixes with engineers and player manufacturers. Later in the same year, they moved to Rovi (formerly Macrovision) as a Quality Assurance Engineer, responsible for creating test plans, test cases, and verifying bug fixes. Austin also maintained testing facilities and was accountable for technical and end user documentation. Austin joined Irdeto in 2011 as a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer, managing a team and overseeing all testing efforts, including the acquisition of BD+ from Rovi. Austin then transitioned to the role of Principal Scrum Master, where they led a team in delivering content protection solutions for MPAA studios and other content providers. Subsequently, they became a Technical Manager/Product Owner, leading a diverse team of software engineers in creating content protection and watermarking solutions, collaborating with clients on product development and utilizing Agile principles. Most recently, Austin has become the Regional Director of PreSales Engineering at Irdeto.

Austin Lee obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film History & Theory from Centenary College of Louisiana, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained certifications as a Certified Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance in June 2016, and as a Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in April 2015.
