Michael Verberne has extensive work experience as a software engineer and architect. Michael started their career at Socrates Digital Video B.V. in 1994 as a software developer. Michael then worked at Data Sciences (IBM) and ICT Automatisering as a software developer and senior software designer respectively. In 1999, Verberne joined Philips Communication & Security Systems (CSI) as a software developer and specialist in video and image compression. Michael later became a software architect at Philips Semiconductors B.V, System Laboratory Eindhoven (SLE) and Philips Innovation Services, where they held the role for a significant period of time. Verberne's most recent position is as a principal software engineer at Irdeto, a role they have held since 2014.
Michael Verberne completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in TCK, technische computerkunde from HTS Haarlem between 1983 and 1987. Michael then went on to pursue their Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Engineering from Technische Universiteit Delft between 1987 and 1994.
