Simin Yang

Simin Yang currently serves as Senior Legal Counsel at Iress, a position held since August 2022. Prior to this, Simin held roles at TPG Telecom from May 2019 to August 2022, progressing from Corporate Counsel to Senior Corporate Counsel. Earlier experience includes working as an IP & Technology Associate at Johnson Winter & Slattery from February 2015 to May 2019, and a Winter Clerk at Baker & McKenzie for a brief period in February 2015. Simin also completed a Summer Clerkship at King & Wood Mallesons and a Summer Law Clerk position at Johnson Winter & Slattery in 2014. Initial legal experience encompassed a Legal Referral Volunteer role at Cancer Council NSW and tutoring in Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme at UNSW from 2011 to 2013. Simin holds a dual degree in International Studies and Law from UNSW, supplemented by law exchange studies at the University of Amsterdam and an overseas program in International Affairs at the University of Connecticut, along with a summer school program on the Chinese Legal System at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
