Hannah Erickson is Partner Training & Support at Irisbond. Prior to that, they were Housing and Health & Safety Coordinator at Barcelona SAE from January 2019 to March 2020.
As a Housing Coordinator, Hannah secured safe lodging (apartment rentals and host families) for American study abroad students in Barcelona. Hannah managed any incidents related to program housing, both technical or personal, often meeting with students or host families to resolve issues.
As the host family specialist within the Housing team, they recruited new host families, solved any conflicts, as well as acted as the center of communication for families. Hannah ensured the quality of the homestay experience at Barcelona SAE through student evaluation ratings, home visits, and organizing workshops for families throughout the year.
Additionally, they worked with the Housing Team Lead to process and distribute monthly payments for all program housing, matching students to their housing using their preferences, and recruit new housing options.
As a Health and Safety Coordinator, they worked to maintain up-to-date and accurate health and safety information for students, staff and partners, and onsite resources. Hannah formed part the Risk Management Team, which created an all-encompassing plan for onsite incidents, and and developed and delivered training on these processes for the staff.
As a team member of Barcelona SAE, they acted as a mentor for a group of 15-20 students, providing them emotional and practical support while abroad. As a member of the rotation for the 24-hour emergency phone, they responded to any student health and safety needs out of office hours.
Hannah Erickson has a Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Minnesota and a certification in Spanish from Fundación José Ortega y Gasset. Hannah also has a certification in TEFL/TESOL from the TEFL EXPRESS LIMITED and is Social Media Certified from HubSpot Academy.
