Established in 2006, The Irish Heritage Trust (IHT) is an independent not-for-profit caring for and bringing historic houses, museums and gardens to life in a financially sustainable way.  We develop innovative visitor experiences at these beautiful places while restoring and conservating the essential fabric of these great places.  Properties include Fota House, Arboretum & Gardens in Cork, Johnstown Castle Estate, Museum & Gardens in Wexford, and Strokestown Park & The National Famine Museum in Roscommon, No.11 The Home of Poetry & Heritage on Parnell Square and No.12 Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin.

Our guiding motto is People, Place & Participation and we engage with individuals and communities of these special places through membership, events and a vibrant volunteering programme.  

At Irish Heritage Trust, we are passionate about bringing benefit to local communities and businesses through tourism, employment and a growing volunteering programme.
