John Leech

John Leech is a marine consultant and surveyor specializing in small craft and yachts, serving private and corporate clients, including insurance companies. With a career spanning over four decades, they held various roles in the Irish Navy, culminating in a position as a Lieutenant Commander before transitioning to serve as the CEO of Irish Water Safety, where they significantly reduced drowning statistics. Currently, they work with Viking Surveys and are involved in multiple maritime and community organizations. John is a full member of the International Institute of Marine Surveying and actively promotes water safety education.
