Irish Sailing
Irish Sailing is the National Governing Body for sailing, powerboating and windsurfing in Ireland. The primary objectives since its foundation in 1945 are to: Serve the needs of its members. Represent their interests at home and abroad with sports and government bodies. Promote the development of the sports and increase the number of active participants. Irish Sailing has 22,500 members and over 200 Irish Sailing affiliated organisations offering a range of training, racing, social, and leisure activities for their members. There is a network of over 135 Irish Sailing Training Centres offering training courses for dinghy, keelboat and catamaran sailors, cruisers, powerboaters, windsurfers, personal watercrafts (aka Jet Ski) and inland waterways motorboats, for Irish Sailing members and the general public alike.
