Irish Wire Products was founded in 1935. The company started as a manufacturer of wire and nails and soon became an important player on the European market. The company’s value to the city of limerick soon became apparent where it was affectionately known as 'The Wire', as it became one of the most important employers in the city. 

These days the company no longer retains its manufacturing facilities. As a leading importer of building supplies, Irish Wire Products has now firmly established its position as the premier distributor of Building Materials,  Fasteners & Fixings, Fencing & Wire, and related products to the building trade nationwide.
