IRISTEM is a student-led nonprofit dedicated to expanding equitable access to scientific research. Many groundbreaking discoveries remain inaccessible to younger students because they are written for academic audiences. IRISTEM works to bridge that gap.

Our team studies peer-reviewed research and translates complex scientific ideas into accurate, age-appropriate educational materials that middle and elementary school students can understand. By transforming real research into engaging curriculum modules and outreach resources, we help students meaningfully connect with the science shaping their world.

Through partnerships with researchers, educators, and youth development programs, IRISTEM promotes global awareness of impactful research while advancing equity and sustainability through education that members utilize to advocate for positive change in their communities.
