Alberto Labarga

Alberto Labarga currently serves as the Head of Biomedical Data Hub at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, focusing on creating a collaborative environment for artificial intelligence in personalized medicine. With extensive teaching experience, Alberto is a Data Analytics Lead Teacher at Ironhack and a data analysis and visualization instructor at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Previously, Alberto held the position of Head of Data Engineering at IOMED Medical Solutions, where work centered on connecting research organizations and hospitals to enhance research outcomes. Alberto has also served as an Associate Professor at Universidad Pública de Navarra, Chief Technology Officer at Shokesu, and Senior Data Scientist at Navarrabiomed, leading bioinformatics research. Alberto's contributions include serving as a council member for citizen participation and open knowledge initiatives, alongside active involvement with W3C in semantic technologies. Alberto's education includes a PhD in Health Sciences with a focus on Artificial Intelligence from Universidad Pública de Navarra, and various advanced degrees in Information Systems and Telecommunications Engineering.
