Patrick Wu has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Patrick started their career as a Lecturer at III in 2003. Patrick then worked as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Washington from 2008 to 2009. In 2010, they joined ITRI as an Engineer, where they led a team in building a rack-based cloud platform and migrated an existing video surveillance system. Patrick then joined Iveda in 2014 as a Principal Cloud Architect, where they designed and implemented a HA and clustering framework for a large-scale video surveillance system on a cloud platform. In 2015, they worked at IronYun as a Technical Marketing Manager/Functional Architect for a few months before becoming the Professional Services Manager. In this role, they led a technical team in developing a deep learning-based cloud video search system. Currently, they serve as the VP of Engineering at IronYun, leading the engineering, R&D, and professional services team and overseeing the company's engineering product strategy, roadmap, and development lifecycle for their cloud, big data, and AI deep learning products.
Patrick Wu obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from National Sun Yat-Sen University from 2003 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the same university from 2001 to 2003.
